Honey Glow Farm is happy to offer a variety of options to help stock your bee hives. Whether it is replacement bees for winter die offs, bees for expansion of your hobby or business or your very first colony, we can supply your needs.
If it is your first colony, in spring 2010, we will be offering money saving starter kits to get you started right, which will include new wooden ware, tools, protective clothing, and especially strong healthy bees.
3# packages are made up right here in Wisconsin in early April. They have a fresh 2010 Italian queen from a quality queen breeder.
5 frame nucs are available from late April. With their advantage of having an established laying queen and all stages of brood, they are ready to be installed as the heart of your colony.
Single deep colonies are available in our used equipment, with proven 2010 queens.

Packages are available in early April, weather permitting. Pick up can be arranged to fit your schedule up to about the first week of May or until sold out.
Our packages are freshly caged here in Wisconsin. After shaking the packages, introducing the queen and installing a can of sugar syrup feed, we allow them to rest in a cool dark place for three days so the queen is well introduced to her new colony.
Upon getting them home you can install them right away, with minimal queen introduction time.
Nucs are made up in returnable 5 frame boxes in early April. They are allowed to build and be evaluated until the end of April, beginning of May. Pick up can be arranged to fit your schedule to about the middle of May or until sold out. These nucs will have 3+ frames brood, 2 frames mixed honey and pollen, or 4 frames mixed brood/honey/pollen and a division feeder, your choice.
We will also install your nuc in the new woodenware you purchase here.
Singles are 9 frames in our used equipment. If you prefer, we will exchange a division feeder for one of the frames. In early April we introduce a new queen to our existing colony. Once we have evaluated the queen we will release these colonies. They include a bottom board, a single deep box, an inner cover and an outer telescope cover.
We will install our existing frames in the new woodenware you purchase here.
We will have new Italian queens available from about April 1, weather permitting. These queens are acquired from one of several reputable queen breeders from California, Florida or Texas.
We will have Wisconsin raised Italian queens available from about the middle of June.
